How I lost 10 pounds in 10 days

A week ago Monday, I started a new diet.  That's not saying much, since I start more diets than most people read books. (In the past 3 years I have started to diet no less than a dozen times. Most of these diets last no more than a day.) Anyway, one bad visit to the doctor and I am now motivated to get healthy again. So, with the help of my iPod Touch and a little app called Tap & Track I am keeping track of what I eat.

I'm a busy guy and I find it to be a total hassle to log everything I eat. So here's where this method of dieting really shines: the less I eat, the less I have to input in the log. Actually in all seriousness, apps like Tap & Track, help you set a budget of calories, carbs and fat so that you can readily know when you are reaching your limit. They also have these nifty piecharts that show you how much of each you are eating.

So, since I started this diet I have lost 10 pounds, and now I have a daunting 60 more pounds to lose. At this rate rate, I should be done by Halloween! Since most of that is "water weight" from radical dietary changes,  a more realistic goal is 1.5 pounds per week. I should be done sometime next May or June just in time to break out the summer Speedo. (For a small donation, I won't post pics.)
